Island Games 2026: 1pm - 8pm; University of Birmingham Athletics Track; A Caribbean-themed Sports Day + Fun day. With races, music all day, tug of war, dominoes, food, ice-cream, an awards ceremony, student businesses and plenty of networking between the diaspora at different universities. This event is all about unity!

Leave The Mixing to the DJ - Information Stall: 11am - 5pm; On the Green Heart; On campus for UoBXtra? Pop by our stall, where we'll have activities, FREE goodies (snacks, drinks and more!) and information all about how to stay safe while mixing substances.

Hall Games: Rounders: noon - 2pm; Grassy Area next to Chamberlain; Looking for a reason to get outside and have some fun? Your Residence Life team and UoB Sport & Fitness have collaborated to bring Hall Games to the Vale Village as part of UoB Xtra Week!

Junkbusters 08.06: noon - 3pm; See Event Description; Every year, we host collection stalls in and around Selly Oak. All you need to do is dig out the things you no longer need, drop them into a bin bag and pop along to one of our collection points with your items.

Nature Break: Bingo & Ice Cream: 3pm - 5pm; Outside Chamberlain/Chamberlain Social Space; Step away from your notes and recharge with a relaxed afternoon of nature, games, and ice cream!

Hall Games: Badminton Tournament: 3pm - 5pm; Sports and Fitness, Munrow Arena; Ready to compete? Your Residence Life team and UoB Sport & Fitness have collaborated to host a Badminton Doubles Tournament for students in Halls of Residence as part of UoB Xtra Week!

UoB Xtra Wellbeing Gardening session: 1pm - 5pm; Grow with Joe Community Garden (charge.plank.atomic); Join for a BUCV UoB Xtra wellbeing gardening session on the 10th of June. This is a free event, we will be decorating and planting plant pots as well as doing some weeding, composting and plant maintenance.

Open Air Cinema: 8:30pm - 11:45pm; The Vale (Outside Shackleton, lakeside); Exam stress dragon on? 🐲 Take a break for some movie magic on the Vale! We'll be showing How to Train Your Dragon this Wednesday evening 🐉

FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Watchalong: 7pm - 10pm; UoB Med School ATH (Arthur Thompson Hall); Join LATAM Society for a live watch party of the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening match: Mexico national football team vs South Africa national football team.

The Big Finale: 1pm - 6pm; Maple Bank and Shackleton Zone H Car Parks, The Vale; Ring in the end of a fantastic year with your Residence Life Team and some funfair excitement, right on the Vale! 🎡🎢🥤
