What is Queer Arts Society?
Queer Arts is a society open to anyone with an interest in Queer Art. Meaning whether you are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community or an Ally of the queer community, you will always be welcome here! (and the membership is just £3 for the whole year!)
-
‘Queer’ refers to LGBTQIA+ experiences, queer theory, culture, history, representation, and so on.
-
‘Arts’ refers to interests in artistic subjects and mediums (such as: music, film, literature, history, video games, creative writing, drama, psychology, fine art, and so on).
Aims:
Our aims are to provide you with a safe environment to talk about your favourite queer things, representation in the media, your own creative ideas or works, and how we can continue to uplift and support each other.
Sessions:
We run weekly events (every Thursday), varying from relaxed socials, presentations, screenings and workshops. We also hope to put on a couple formal events in which we can display creative and queer work made by the members of this society (which could be YOU!)
Stay up to date:
