Officer Election Food and Drink IncentivesTerms & Conditions

Entrants confirm they have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Promoter is University of Birmingham Guild of Students, Edgbaston Park Road, Birmingham, B15 2TU (Company Number: 6638759) (the ‘Promoter’).

How to enter:

  • To enter our prize draw you must be a current registered student at the University of Birmingham, who has voted in the Officer Elections 2024.
  • The voting period will take place between Monday 11th March 2024 10am and Thursday 14th March at 4pm. No prize draw entries can be accepted after this time.
  • Entrants for the Grad Ball Priority Pass must be aged 18 years or over and in either their final year of study as an undergraduate or studying for a postgraduate qualification.

Prizes:

By voting and entering our prize draw students will be in with the chance of winning:

  • A free mini pizza from Joe’s Bar
  • A Grad Ball priority pass
  • A free soft drink from Joe’s Bar

No other food or drink products form our usual menus are included in this offer. All prizes are subject to availability. All food and drink incentives must be collected from and consumed in the premises of the Guild of Students.

Free Mini Pizza (FYI: These T&C’s are already on the min pizza vouchers we have printed at the Guild):

  • The promoter is offering 1,000 students a free mini pizza from Joe’s Bar.
  • Pizza will be available on Tuesday 12th March at Joe’s Bar between 11am and 4pm
  • To qualify for this incentive students will need to vote in Officer Elections 2024 and display their voting confirmation email to a guild staff member at Joe’s Bar during the hours stated for this offer.
  • Pizza will be available on a first come, first served basis. Subject to availability.
  • Fries are also available as a gluten free alternative to pizza. Fries are cooked in gluten free oil but please note additional allergen information below.

Allergens:

  • Margherita -pizza dough (Wheat, gluten), Tomato sauce, Grated Mozzarella (Milk)
  • Vegan Margherita – pizza dough (wheat, gluten), tomato sauce, 4 vegan cheese blend
  • Fried – cooked in gluten free oil

All food is prepared in a kitchen that handles these and other allergens and therefore we cannot guarantee against trace amounts, but all safeguards have been put in place to reduce the likelihood of cross contamination.

Please make yourself aware to staff if you require an alternative to the dairy Margherita.

All food is prepared fresh and due to the high volume of food being produced there may be a longer wait for the vegan margherita.

Gradball Priority Pass:

  • The promoter is offering 1,000 students in their final year of study or studying for a postgraduate qualification a priority pass for Graduation Ball (Grad Ball), providing early access to tickets before they go on general sale.
  • After the Elections, successful voters will be chosen at random and contacted via email outlining the details of how to obtain their Grad Ball priority pass.
  • This offer entitles each successful voter to one Grad Ball priority pass only.
  • Successful voters must be over the age of 18 to attend and will be required to display their ID upon entry to Grad Ball.

Free Soft Drink from Joe’s Bar:

  • The promoter is offering 1,000 students a free soft drink (1 pint) from Joe’s Bar. This includes qualifying drinks only e.g. Cola / Lemonade.
  • This offer entitles each successful voter to one free soft drink only.
  • This offer is only valid to students who vote between 00:00:01: and 23:59:59 on Wednesday 13th March 2024.
  • 1,000 voters will be selected at random and contacted via email on Thursday 14th March 2024 outlining the details of how to redeem their soft drink from Joe’s Bar. Please note this offer will only be available until Saturday 16th March 2024 at 9pm.

All incentives are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition, prizes and these terms and conditions without prior notice. Any changes to the competition will be communicated as soon as possible by the promoter.

Officer elections – final voting day special offer terms and conditions

  • To enter our prize draw you must be a current registered student at the University of Birmingham, who has voted in the Officer Elections 2024 between 12.30pm noon and 4pm on 14 March 2024.
  • Voting closes on Thursday 14th March at 4pm. No prize draw entries can be accepted after this time.
  • Five winners will be selected at random and contacted via email no later than Monday 18 March 2024 outlining the details of how to redeem their Curly Fries offer from Joe’s Bar.

Prizes:

By voting and entering our prize draw students will be in with the chance of winning one of 5 prizes of Curly Fries for 1 year starting from Monday 18 March 2024. Each prize offer is limited to 2 portions of Curly Fries per week for a period of 30 weeks maximum, term time only. The prize will be provided by Joe’s Bar and can be collected during normal food service hours as published on the Guild website.

No other food or drink products from our usual menus are included in this offer. All prizes are subject to availability. All food and drink incentives must be collected from and consumed in the premises of the Guild of Students. All food is prepared fresh each day so order times may vary depending on the volume of orders being served at time of prize collection.

To collect their prize, winners will need to display their winning email notification to a guild staff member at Joe’s Bar at time of ordering. 64 portions in total will be assigned per winner for the duration of the prize win period i.e. until 17 March 2025.

Curly fries contain gluten. Fries are available as a substitute to those preferring or requiring a gluten free alternative. All food is prepared in a kitchen that handles these and other allergens and therefore we cannot guarantee against trace amounts, but all safeguards have been put in place to reduce the likelihood of cross contamination. note additional allergen information available below.
