To celebrate Green week on the Vale, we’ve put together some crafts that can help to encourage the Vale to flourish and look (and feel) its best.
Seed Bombs
Seed bombs are a great way to introduce plant biodiversity, mixing a variety of seeds into dirt balls and distributing them in muddy / grassy areas. The best bit? To distribute these bombs, they need to be chucked. Put those eggs down, and seed bomb your favourite vale locations instead.
Bug Hotels
The vale is an accommodation site, so why not accommodate some extra guests this month? Using old bottles (from your Wednesday night mixer’s), twigs, leaves, moss and bamboo we can create a whole new accommodation block for the bugs around the vale! Simply make a hotel and hang it up somewhere around the vale, to welcome a new cohort of UoB first years (although they likely won’t graduate 😉 ).
Get your hands dirty and help keep the Vale a lovely green oasis 😊
This is a completely free event for students living in UoB and partner site accommodation, just bring along your Student ID 🪪
Mason social space is on the ground floor with step-free access. Keycard access is required to enter the social space, but our events team will be available to let you in.
