Join the East African Society for a fun and relaxed bowling social at Hollywood Bowl Birmingham Broadway Plaza. This event is designed to provide students with an opportunity to socialise, meet new people, and strengthen connections within the East African Society and the wider University of Birmingham community.
The evening will include friendly bowling games in a casual and welcoming environment. Whether you are competitive or simply looking to enjoy a relaxed social activity, this event is open to everyone regardless of prior bowling experience. The aim is to create a space where students can interact, build friendships, and take a break from academic commitments while participating in a group activity.
The event will take place from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, with bowling lanes booked in advance at Hollywood Bowl Birmingham Broadway Plaza. Attendees are encouraged to arrive approximately 10–15 minutes early so that lanes can be organised and games can begin on time. The event will involve multiple bowling lanes to allow attendees to participate comfortably and socialise throughout the evening.
This event is open to all University of Birmingham students, with discounted tickets available for members of the East African Society. We expect approximately 25–35 attendees. The event is intended for university students aged 18 and over, and we do not anticipate any under-18s attending.
The only external party involved in the event is the venue provider, Hollywood Bowl Birmingham Broadway Plaza, where the bowling lanes will be hired. No additional external vendors, speakers, or performers will be involved.
There will be a ticket cost associated with the event to cover the cost of bowling lane hire. Payments will be collected in advance so that the society can confirm the booking with the venue and ensure sufficient lanes are reserved for attendees.
Members of the East African Society committee will attend the event and oversee coordination on the day to ensure the activity runs smoothly and that participants follow venue guidelines.
