The Vintage Trains Story - The Rise to a Train Operating Company
Mike Corbett is a volunteer at Vintage Trains Charitable Trust, Birmingham, a chartered engineer, and former senior railway manager and director within both the public and private rail industry.
The presentation will cover the history and development of Vintage Trains in Birmingham to train operating company status, together with the Tyseley Collection of steam and diesel locomotives. It will include reference to organisations, the migration to charitable trust and some examples of projects and the application of modern technology to heritage locomotives and rolling stock for main line operation.
