Women’s Rugby (Rugby Birds)

Hello, we're the University of Birmingham Medical School Women’s Rugby Football Club (UBMSWRFC) we are also known as The Birds! We’re a fun, passionate and inclusive group who love rugby - whether you're a seasoned player or a total beginner, you're welcome here!

What We Do:

• We play in the NAMS league (National Association of Medical Schools) with teams from Bristol, Leicester, Manchester, and Nottingham.
• We’re the current champions after an epic win against Nottingham in last year’s final!
• We also play friendlies with other uni teams, local clubs, and have fun inter-club matches for all skill levels.
• Host amazing socials and international tours!
• Proud winners of the Guild Members’ Choice Award 2025 and Medsoc Sport of the Year 2025!
