Gastrointestinal Society (BUGS)

We're BUGS, your gastrointestinal society here at UoB. Whether you're already set on becoming a gastroenterologist or just want a taster of something new, we have something for you!

From DIG in year 1, to the GI modules in year 3 to specialty conferences helping you beyond year 5, we cover all the content that you need.

Our events include:

• ASPIRE conference - run in collaboration with all the Medsoc societies
• Hospital Endoscopy day - get to spend a day in hospital and gain first-hand clinical experience shadowing endoscopy cases
• UK national undergraduate gastroenterology conference - in collaboration with other gastro societies across the country
• Mock OSCE sessions
• High-yield revision sessions
