Up for an adventure?

Birmingham Universities Scouts and Guides (BUSAG) welcomes Scouts, Guides, and anyone with no experience of the two movements. 

BUSAG meet weekly (usually Wednesday 1-2pm) to take part in all kinds of activities in the Guild, from quizzes to games and going on hikes.  The meetings are complemented by a social each week, which ranges from film nights to our traditional socials like progressive meal or curry night. We also have regular camps throughout the year such as Christmas Sleepover and Big BUSAG Breakfast. 

As a key part of both movements is volunteering, BUSAG have strong links with the local Guiding units and Scout groups and love to help point our members in the right direction if they want to volunteer locally. If you are interested in volunteering locally, please drop us an email.

By joining BUSAG you are also joining the Student Scout and Guide Organisation (SSAGO) who bring together over 40 colleges and universities for national events each term called rallies. Rallies have over 250 student Scouts and Guides camp together for an action-packed weekend, and we also attend a yearly ball with SSAGO too. 

Membership for BUSAG is a student-friendly £8 which provides most of the weekly meetings at no cost and covers the national SSAGO membership fee. We also welcome Scouts and Guides from other universities around Birmingham.
