The Joe's bar menu this year includes more allergen friendly options, which makes Joe's more accessible to people with allergies and other dietary requirements. However, some of the alternative foods have an upcharge to purchase them - such as the gluten free pizza bases costing £2 extra. These shouldn't be an upcharge to students with dietary requirements, as it disadvantages them for things they do not have control over.
Policy
Joe's bar should not upcharge on any food item that is a dietary alternative, such as but not limited to:
- gluten free pizza base alternative
- gluten free burger bun alternative
- gluten free burger bun as a sesame free alternative
- any future alterations to the menu to edit items in according to dietary requirements
