We bring together students interested in powerlifting and getting stronger. We offer group training, competition facilitation, a UoB team at the British University Championships, coaching, internal meets and socials. Everybody is welcome: from totally untrained to seasoned competitive lifters; bodybuilders and general gym-goers.

For complete beginners: powerlifting consists of the Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift. You train to become as strong and efficient as possible, and in competition you try to move as much weight as possible to win your weight class!

Training is on Sundays in the High Performance Gym in the new sports centre at 3pm, or from 4:30pm for more experienced lifters.
