Student Mentors

1-2-1 Support

The Student Mentor Scheme can offer you 1-2-1 support, if you feel you need a bit of extra help with an issue, worry or concern. Whether you’re struggling with your course, your flatmates, settling in to University life, with your mental health or with a disability, we’re always here to listen and to support you!

If you’re nervous about coming to Birmingham, we can arrange for one of our Mentors to get in touch with you before you arrive – and to meet you within the first couple of days to ensure you’re finding your feet.

We can support you for as long as you need. This means our mentors will be able to catch up with you throughout your time living in University accommodation and can give you a hand with your general wellbeing, shared living/accommodation related issues, academic issues and financial matters.
