Safeguarding at the University of Birmingham Guild of Students

The Guild of Students is committed to ensuring that a safe and supportive environment exists for all staff, officers, volunteers, students and visitors to the Guild.

This Safeguarding Policy is for the protection of:

Children

  • A child is anyone under the age of 18

 Adults at risk

  • An adult at risk is a person aged 18 or older who has care and support needs, (whether or not these needs are being met); and, is experiencing or at risk of, abuse or neglect; and as a result of those care and support needs is unable to protect themselves from either the risk of, or the experience of abuse or neglect

If you have a concern about a child or an adult at risk, then please do report this to our safeguarding officers by emailing . This inbox is monitored Monday to Friday 9-5pm, with the exception of closed periods such as bank holidays.
