Bowling @ Hollywood Bowl!

Details:

NerdSoc are going bowling! Join us for our annual trip to Hollywood Bowl at Broadway Plaza - we will be playing two games, starting at 2pm, and finishing... whenever you've finished scoring strikes (probably after 2-3hrs)! There is food and drink available there so you'll be free to purchase drinks and/or snacks if you fancy them, and the full menu can be found on their website - just select Birmingham Broadway Plaza from the dropdown menu to download it and have a read through.

You will need to purchase a ticket through this Guild page in order to come to the event! If you can't see the tickets yet, don't panic, they're coming soon. The tickets are subsidised using our society's funds, so you do need NerdSoc membership to attend. You will also need your student ID with you for verification as they are student tickets - so please remember to bring your student ID or you may not be able to play!

Travel Arrangements:

You are free to make your own way there and meet us at the bowling alley, but if you'd like to travel with us, some members of committee will be travelling by train from University station to Five Ways. From there, its a ten- to fifteen-minute walk to the bowling alley. We'll be arranging the specifics of this travel nearer to the time, most likely in our Discord server, so we recommend you hop in there if you aren't already. Please note if you are not in the Discord and you'd still like to travel with us, you're welcome to send us a message via email, Instagram, or Facebook, and we will do our very best to keep you in the loop!

Accessibility:

Hollywood Bowl has step-free acess into the building itself, and although there are a small number of steps to access the lanes, ramps are available if required. While playing there are a number of accessibility adjustments that can be provided, including lightweight bowling balls, ball ramps, and lane bumpers.
