Temporary Ground Staff and Court Covering Team Vacancies [GUI1330EPC/EC] (35 positions)

The Edgbaston Priory Club is again proud to host the WTA Premier Level Tournament; The Classic Birmingham, a women’s grass court Premier Level international tennis event that is part of the WTA tour – made up of 53 tournaments staged throughout the world annually (plus the 4 Grand Slam tournaments).

The tournament has increased in prestige year on year, with past winners including former world number 1’s and Grand Slam Champions such as Martina Navratilova, Maria Sharapova, Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic, Madison Keys and Angelique Kerber, as well as the 2017 Aegon Classic Birmingham Champion, Petra Kvitova.

For many years we have employed a team on a temporary basis to assist the full time grounds staff during this period. These positions have proved to be very popular with many people coming back several years in a row. We are now looking to recruit new team members to help with ground staff duties and the court covering operation for this prestigious event.

Staff will be required for various length periods of employment between and including 29^th May 2018 and 6^th July 2018.

A number of shorter term positions will be available throughout this period but staff will need to be available as a minimum from 15^th June through to 22^nd June (inclusive) for us to be able to consider them for one of the positions.

Staff will be paid weekly, direct into their bank account (BACS). A further benefit will be the provision of meals during the actual tournament days (16^th – 24^th June inclusive) but no provision will be made on other days.
