Student Staff – Scrutiny Group Panel Member

Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour, plus holiday pay

To act as a Panel Member for the Guild’s Scrutiny Group, examining the work of the Guild’s Officer Team by studying and analysing reports submitted by the Guild Officer group, providing constructive feedback where appropriate. You will prepare for and attend Scrutiny Group meetings and have knowledge of the Guild’s governance structures and bye-laws.

A full induction will be given to the successful candidates.

Please note that this position is only available to students studying at the University of Birmingham until at least July 2026.

Please note that successful candidates must be available during the following dates:

• Scrutiny Panel Training – Tuesday 25^th November 2025
• Scrutiny Panel Meetings – 2^nd and 3^rd December 2025
• 2 hours of report reading between training and the meetings
