Sign Language

The society is a sign language group which teaches students basic sign language. We run a British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 course. The course is one year long, with evening classes taking place each week of term. Topic areas include, the alphabet, numbers, colours, the calendar, describing yourself and your family, jobs, directions and many more. Students may also choose to take the exams required to achieve the Level One Award in BSL.

There are also various socials and fundraisers throughout the year that members can get involved in outside of class.

Please note that on top of the membership fee, there is also a course fee of £100 for those wanting to do the level 1 course. This covers 65 hours of tuition.
