Sign Language

The society is a sign language group which teaches students basic sign language. We run a British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 course. The course is one year long, with evening classes taking place each week of term. Topic areas include: the alphabet, numbers, colours, the calendar, describing yourself and your family, jobs, directions and many more. Students can also choose to take exams required to achieve the Level 1 Award in BSL.

How does our society work?

Membership is £5 - this allows members to attend BSL Social Club [Weds 6pm @ Joe's Bar] where you can learn BSL in a casual setting, plus you get access to our trips, charity fundraisers and volunteering opportunities.

BSL Level 1 course is £100 (2019 price) - Sign-ups to our BSL level 1 course is now closed

BSL pre-level 2 course is £10 (2019 price) - For more information, email us or join the FB group here
