Guild Advice

About Guild Advice

Guild Advice (formerly 'The ARC') opened our doors in 1996 and have aimed to offer free, impartial and confidential information, advice and representation on a wide range of issues to all students of the University of Birmingham.

Guild Advice has two key aims:
  • To ensure that students are aware of their rights, responsibilities and are able to access and fulfil them.

  • To use available evidence to campaign for change, for students.

In more recent years this has resulted in our specialisms in the five main areas of our service:-

Confidentiality

Guild Advice treats all enquiries as confidential in nature and will not disclose that you have contacted the service without your specific permission. More detailed information on our Confidentiality Statement is available here
