Founders Collective

2.1.1 To build an inclusive community for University of Birmingham students interested in 

entrepreneurship, bringing together different disciplines to exchange ideas, find potential 

co-founders and develop ventures together.

2.1.2 To invite prominent entrepreneurs, well-known business leaders, influential innovators and 

inspiring alumni to meet members through headline talks, informal conversations and live 

question-and-answer sessions about their experiences, successes and setbacks.

2.1.3 To help members develop and test ideas through practical workshops and collaborative 

start-up challenges, building skills in customer research, business planning, branding, 

budgeting and pitching.

2.1.4 To organise pitch showcases and student venture demonstrations, inviting entrepreneurs, 

mentors and investors to offer constructive feedback and help members develop the 

confidence to present their ideas.

2.1.5 To broaden members’ connections and understanding of entrepreneurship through 

networking events, visits to businesses and innovation hubs, and links to university 

enterprise support, mentoring opportunities and competitions
